Siya Kolisi - A Rise to Glory
Siyamthanda Kolisi, is a South African professional rugby union player who currently captains the South African national team.
Against all odds and hailing from very humble beginnings, Siya Kolisi would go on to become the first black man to captain the South African rugby union team (The Springboks) and also lead the team to two successive Rugby World Cup titles.
Kolisi is one of only 25 South Africans who have won the Rugby World Cup on multiple occasions, a tremendous achievement.
In April 2023, Kolisi was bestowed the National Order of Ikhamanga by the South African Government for his contributions to the sport
